Deuter’s mission to create the perfect rucksack began back
in 1898. Today, the likes of Anderl and Andi Heckmair,
Hermann Buhl and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner represent
the countless mountaineers, climbers,
hikers and mountain bikers that have turned
their dreams into reality with Deuter. Over
the past 112 years, Deuter has experienced natural
growth spurts such as the first back ventilation system
in the 30’s, the Aircomfort system introduced
in 1984 or the first bike rucksack in 1990,
as well as periods of careful and considered maturity,
where systematic improvements were
made.
Even
now, in the third millennium, each new addition
to the Deuter family is not conceived behind
a desk but rather exactly where it will spend
the rest of its life – in the outdoors. Deuter
creations are born in the minds of people who
spend their life in the outdoors – in the minds
of collection experts, the athletes in SL team and the numerous mountain guides from
the "German Association of Mountain and Ski
Guides"
.
After
careful nurturing, the youngest members of
